ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Shropshire Classic is a weekend rally designed to showcase the rugged beauty and quiet charm of England's borderlands. Beginning in the historic town of Shrewsbury, the route winds through the picturesque Caradoc Hills, offering stunning views and a variety of navigational challenges to keep participants engaged. Midday, there is a well-deserved break for lunch at the charming Stiperstones Inn, a welcoming stop steeped in local history and renowned for its hearty, home-cooked meals. After lunch, the rally continues along peaceful country lanes and open moorland, a balanced mix of competitive challenges with the breath taking scenery that makes classic motoring truly unforgettable.

CHARACTERISTICS
VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY
Any three or four-wheeled vehicles built before December 31st, 1999 are eligible for the challenge.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Shropshire Classic is perfect for first-timers or anyone simply looking to enjoy their classic car in a fun, low-pressure environment.
TYPES OF ROAD
The Shropshire Classic will take place predominantly on asphalt and lightly gravelled roads, rougher roads and surfaces will be avoided wherever possible. There will be regularity sections and special tests. These special tests will be held on private land.
HOSPITALITY
Overnight accommodation and evening meal after the Saturday training session. Breakfast, coffee, lunch and a buffet dinner are provided during the rally and any allergies, specific dietary requirements, or religious preferences will be catered for (subject to prior communication).
NAVIGATION
The route will be defined in a detailed tulip Road Book and an overview map of the route will also be provided.
ENTRY FEE
£625 per crew for the rally and training*
£300 per crew for the rally only
ON EVENT SUPPORT
Although mechanical support will be available throughout the event, the ability to carry out regular maintenance on your own car is essential. Should you need to be transported by truck we will help as much as we can, but all responsibility, including payment, rests with the competitor.

DAILY ITINERARY
DAY 1
SATURDAY 21ST FEBRUARY | RALLY TRAINING
Day One is all about learning the ropes. Designed for newcomers or those looking to sharpen their skills, our rally training session offers a friendly and engaging introduction to classic motorsport. Participants will cover the core elements of competitive rallying, with classroom-style sessions covering:

The structure of a typical classic rally

Understanding key competitive sections, including regularities, jogularities, and tests

Essential navigation techniques using tulip diagrams, map reading, and timing sheets
Practical exercises give participants a chance to apply what they've learned, building confidence ahead of the main event. It’s the perfect way to ease into the world of rallying and classic motorsport while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.

DAY 2
SUNDAY 22ND FEBRUARY | RALLY
The rally sets off from the historic town of Shrewsbury, winding its way through the dramatic Caradoc Hills. Expect captivating views, quiet lanes, and varied terrain that brings just the right amount of challenge.
Crews break for a traditional lunch at the rustic Stiperstones Inn, nestled in the heart of the Shropshire Hills—an ideal place to regroup, refuel, and share stories. The afternoon route continues across peaceful countryside, blending map-based sections with classic jogularities and regularities. A perfect combination of scenic driving and low-pressure competition, all within one of England’s most underrated landscapes.
